Goodbye, GamesMaster Philippines.

This is the magazine’s last issue, but it will live on in the hearts of Filipino gamers.

The irony of it all is that GamesMaster has a lot of loyal readers. It wasn’t a problem of readership or market reach. For three years, this pioneering mag proved that Filipinos want to read about games.

I haven’t known Ed Geronia for that long, but we’ve become good friends, united as we are by a common love for games and beer, heh. GM was his baby, and I know it’s hard to see something you built disappear through no fault of your own. But this is just another challenge that he’ll readily overcome, and I know his passion for gaming remains undiminished.

We still have a lot of dreams and plans to talk about over buckets of beer, right, Ed, heh.

  1. I still don’t understand how a good publication like that can go down. It will be missed- more than Seinfeld, less than Kurt Kobain.
